ADSENSE : HOW TO MAKE MAXIMUM

Most webmasters know that ad sense can generate a sizable source of additional advertising income.

It is important to direct traffic to pages, which contain AdSense ads relating to high paying keywords. Whatever level of traffic you get to your site, make sure your internal navigation is set up to induce visitors onto pages which earn you the most from your AdSense ads.

A typical website would have menu links on each page. The wording on these links is what attracts the visitor's attention, and persuades them to click to visit another page of that website. The simple device of having links, which contain the words “free”, or "download" could prove effective.

The next element of navigation you might wish to consider in trying to improve your AdSense income is link location. Although it is a normal design convention, links do not always have to be in a list down the left of the page. You could try links at the top of the web page, and at the bottom. You could also try different text styles on different pages. You might consider having bright links interspersed on your web page with headings such as "hot spots", "most popular", "most read" etc, whatever is relevant for your type of website.

Focus on only one Ad sense format. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format has proven to result in higher click-through rates. So why only choose this format? Basically because the ads blends in like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click on them. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Ad sense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

Try to automate the insertion of your Ad sense code into the WebPages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Ad sense code in a text file, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

One of the best secrets that I have learned about AdSense is that you can get a lot of revenue if you place AdSense in your links pages. Almost everybody now has a links page or collection of links on their website for other resources. If you have a categorized links directory or a few links pages grouped together this is even better. What AdSense can then do is determine exactly which ads to show on which page.

Since you are already going to be losing traffic from those links anyway, why not get paid to actually drive people to other websites! That’s one of the key secrets: include AdSense on your links pages.

Another great secret is to use your newsletter or mailing list to generate AdSense revenue. They don’t allow you to send anything out by email that includes AdSense, but what you can do is you can create a newsletter that is online. You would send an email and, rather than including the newsletter within that email, you would send people to a link. People will land on that link and it includes your newsletter in html format along with relevant AdSense ads.

The main secret that I found in creating an AdSense empire is to do one thing every day, which will actually improve your AdSense earnings. Whether you add more content, get more key phrases, send another newsletter or read more information about AdSense; do one thing each day, which earns you more!
